High quality candids of Nico on the set of “Scream 4″ on Tuesday August 17 (and into the early hours of Wednesday morning) have been added to the gallery.
The photos have been removed on request from the copyright holders. Sorry about the inconvenience.
Just Jared Jr‘s versions of the photos have been added to the gallery. Fansites repost photos from that blog all the time and, as far I as I know, have never been asked to take them down, so these versions (unfortunately smaller and tagged) are hopefully here to stay.

While on the black carpet of the New York City premiere of “Twelve”, MTV News chatted with Nico and Rory Culkin about their roles in “Scream 4″, and working with the trilogy’s original cast.
While Culkin decided to keep mum, his “Twelve” and “Scream 4″ co-star [Nico] dished a bit more, revealing that he and Roberts may get busy. “My name is Trevor, and Emma and I have a love interest throughout the whole movie, and I can’t really give you too much more,” Tortorella said, adding that being on-set with some of the original cast is very exciting. “I can’t give you any information past that.”
“Yeah, Courteney’s there, Neve’s there, David’s there. You know, it’s really like walking into a family, and they’re just all accepting us with mad open arms,” he explained. “They’re all incredible people. It’s been quite the trip. I had never seen the originals until after I auditioned for the first time. … After watching them all, yeah, it’s one of its own.”

In unrelated news, the long-awaited “Twelve” premiere has apparently been set for next Wednesday (July 28) in New York City, according to Market Watch. Emma Roberts and Rory Culkin are probably attending, being two of the leads, hopefully Nico will too.

Before The Trailer posted some photos from the set of “Scream 4″ in Plymouth yesterday (July 19) and (I think) Nico is in one of them, wearing a squared shirt. Unfortunately the quality isn’t the best (hence why I’m not one hundred percent sure it’s him). Also pictured are Wes Craven, Erik Knudsen, Rory Culkin, Marielle Jaffe and Hayden Panettiere.
Edit: Additional photos have been released by Click On Detroit. I think I have spotted Nico wearing two different outfits: the plaid shirt mentioned above, and a blue and green striped t-shirt.

A couple of press agencies were also on the set, but they all seemed to think that Nico wasn’t worth their shots as all the photos are cut right before him.

If you are following us on Twitter you probably already know about these things, but for those of you who don’t here’s our weekly “Scream 4″ round-up post:
On Wednesday June 30 Lauren Graham confirmed on “The Tonight Show” that she was no longer part of the project due to a scheduling conflict, which likely refers to her NBC series “Parenthood”. On the same day, Salon Vox (that previously played hairdresser to Nico) posted on their Facebook account that actress Marley Shelton visited their Ann Arbor salon in preparation for the movie. On July 1, Heat Vision Blog broke the news that Shelton was joining the cast (taking the role previously dropped by Lake Bell), together with “The O.C.” star Adam Brody (playing a cop who recently graduated from college) and Erik Knudsen (as a character who is familiar with horror movie conventions). On the same day, The Wrap exclusively reported that Alison Brie and Mary McDonnell were added to the cast. While it’s unclear who McDonnell will be playing, Brie will play Sidney’s ambitious personal assistant.

If you are following us on Twitter you probably already know about most of these things, but for those of you who don’t I’m writing a round-up post to fill you in on all the latest on Nico and “Scream 4″, including all the major events from this past weekend up until the first day of filming yesterday.
The weekend started off on a bad note when Lake Bell confirmed via her Twitter account that due to scheduling conflicts she has to back out and will no longer play Deputy Judy Hicks in the fourth “Scream” movie. No word yet on who will ultimately get the role.
In the evening of Friday (June 25) Nico and co-star Hayden Panettiere visited Salon Vox in Ann Arbor, most probably to get their hair cut for the movie. Nico worked with stylist Justin A. Nichols and “Scream 4″ hairstylist Joy Zapata.
On Saturday June 26, filming officially began for Neve Campbell and Access Hollywood’s Nancy O’Dell (appearing as a host in a cameo role). Nancy posted some lovely photos from the set on her TwitPic account.
Over the weekend blogs went literally crazy reporting possible locations for the movie: On Location Vacation and Before The Trailer reported that they are occupying several building in Varsity Drive in Ann Arbor (probably a base camp/studio – with a production office located on 4401 Varsity Road, Suite D). Trailers and crew signs were spotted yesterday at St. Francis Church/School on Stadium/St. Francis street. Filming will take place at the middle school in Dearborn (4951 Ternes Street) from June 29 through the 2nd, then again on the 6th and 9th from 5am til 10pm. For more information and last-minute heads up make sure you are following Before The Trailer and Scream-Trilogy.net on Twitter.
A couple of fan photos and videos from yesterday (Monday June 28) leaked online. You can see Hayden Panettiere and Emma Roberts filming a car scene, follow this link. If you live in Michigan and are interested in “visiting” the set, follow the “Z Project” signs, a codename for the movie.
Make sure you are following Nico-Tortorella.com on Twitter for all the latest. I don’t feel like posting too much on here when it’s not directly related to Nico, so I’ll just write a post like this from time to time to summarize what’s happening in Ann Arbor.

Thanks to Marielle Jaffe’s official Facebook page we have the schedule for the first week of preparation for “Scream 4″ in Ann Arbor:
Just got to Ann Arbor, Michigan! Wardrobe fitting tomorrow, makeup test tomorrow, one on one with Wes Craven Thursday, Table Read Friday, KICK OFF PARTY SATURDAY, and FIRST DAY OF FILMING ON MONDAY!!! This is going to be the best 3 months of my life!
This was posted about 7 hours ago (Tuesday evening).
News on the “Twelve” front are unfortunately not as good. The premiere planned for Monday in New York didn’t happen but there is a screening this Saturday (June 26) in Los Angeles followed by a Q&A with director Joel Schumacher and some special guests (as part of a three-day Schumacher retrospective). Nico, Emma Roberts and Rory Culkin are most probably not attending, being in Michigan.

Great news today, dear visitors! Nico just got cast, apparently as one of the leads, in the new “Scream 4″ movie currently in pre-production.
Unfortunately we don’t have an official confirmation on the character Nico will play (see below), but we have some information about the movie to keep us going until more details leak:
The “Scream 4″ script was written by Kevin Williamson (who also penned the other 3 “Scream” movies and tv hit “The Vampire Diaries”), and will be directed by Wes Craven (the visionaire behind the “Scream” trilogy and another gazilion of horror movies), it will be produced by The Weinstein Company and distributed by Dimension Films.
Already confirmed among the cast are Courteney Cox, David Arquette and Neve Campbell (reprising their roles from the original “Scream” trilogy and serving as an integration to the new kids’ storyline), Emma Roberts and Rory Culkin (both already worked with Nico in the upcoming “Twelve”, playing Jill Kesslar and Charlie Walker respectively); Hayden Panettiere (set to play Kirby Reed) and Lake Bell (as Deputy Judy Hicks) have also been confirmed.
My guess, based on the casting calls released, is that Nico will play a character named Trevor Sheldon, described as: “Handsome high school jock, but quiet and intense, as though a secret hangs over his head”. All the remaining uncasted characters are either females or men in their 30-40s, you do the math. This is just my guess, and it hasn’t been confirmed.
Principal photography is set to begin in and around Ann Arbor (Michigan) on June 28 and the movie is scheduled for an April 15, 2011 release.
The plot synopsis, according to IMDb:
Ten years have passed, and Sidney Prescott, who has put herself back together thanks in part to her writing, is visited by the Ghostface Killer
Not much, I know. Hopefully we will know more soon. In the meantime, make sure you subscribe to the newsletter on the movie’s official site, follow it on Twitter, and become a fan on Facebook.
And last, but definitely not least, Nico’s reaction to the casting news (follow him on Twitter: @Nico_Tortorella):
Huge news today!!!! Just officially got cast in scream 4!!!! Today is always the best day of my life
